Itinerary -
Day 01: Mcleodganj (2000m) - Triund (2875m) (Trek / 4 - 5 hrs)
After breakfast we drive to the Galu Devi Temple which is a 20 minutes drive. From here we start our hike for the day. The trek for the day starts with an ascent towards Triund. The trail passes through mixed forest of oak, rhododendron and deodar trees Trail is steep but the excellent views of Dhramkot and Dhramshala valley compensate for the efforts. Triund is a flat meadow on top of a ridge and receives a lot of snowfall during the season. From here panoramic views of Dhauladhar range towards the north and Kangra valley towards the south are worth memorable sight. Overnight stay in tents.
Day 02: Triund (2875m) - Exploration - Mcleodganj (2000m) (Trek / 7 - 8 hrs] - Trip ends
Wake up to the captivating environs of Triund, in the morning we will set on an exploratory hike towards Lakagot . Return back to Triund for lunch. Post lunch descend down to Mcleodganj. On arrival.

Transport Options (Delhi – McLeodganj – Delhi)
For travel from Delhi to McLeodganj & back, one can choose between rail & road. Train travel is highly recommended with enough options being there. The closest railway station is Pathankot from where you could get local taxis and buses for McLeodganj. You could also hire a private taxi if you prefer one. For train details, you could log on to www.indianrail.gov.in and for online railway ticket bookings you could log on to www.irctc.co.in .
There are frequent Public Transport buses including Volvos available from Delhi to Dharamsala/McLeodganj that cost about Rs. 1000-1400 per person. They take about 13 hrs to cover the distance. A private vehicle could also be arranged for if you require the same.
Weather Details
In the initial days of the pre monsoon season (May-Jun) there will be lots of snow on the higher meadows and the pass which generally starts melting by June. Days are going to be sunny and warm (12-20 °C) while the night temperature at the highest campsite would be in the range of -2 to 5 °C. In the post monsoon season (Sep-Nov) there is hardly any snow at the start with possibility of snowfall towards the end of October, which also melts very fast. The days are sunny with temperatures hovering around (8-16 °C) and the evenings start getting cold with the onset of October and nights are comparatively colder (-5 to 5 °C). Wind chill factor is something you need to be prepared for on most Himalayan treks so come equipped adequately. Please keep in mind that the above information is not exact and does not account for sudden changes. Whatever the temperatures and conditions rest assured we will be prepared to handle it with ease as we use equipment of very high specifications..
List of Essentials
Mountain/adventure travel requires one to be adequately equipped with the right kind of personal gear. Since one is travelling in the wilderness there will be hardly any opportunity to buy anything once you hit the trail so we urge you to carefully pack everything into your bags. Also please keep in mind you can rent out or purchase equipment from our Gear Store, if required.

Carry your stuff in a duffel bag, soft shoulder bag or a rucksack. Avoid suitcases, trolleys or any other hard luggage. As you will be walking long distances carrying a rucksack, avoid bringing unnecessary items on the trek. Please avoid carrying expensive watches, jewellery and electronic items on the trek

Description
Towering above the Kangra valley, in the western part of Himachal Pradesh, Dhauladhar is one of the most unique and beautiful mountain ranges in the world. Rocky terrains with a million boulders jutting out of the mountain, makes it ambient to see and interesting to climb. In this getaway trek you will trek in the lower Dhauladhars and climb a hill top just in front of the mighty ranges. It is a 2843m hill, standing parallel to the higher Dhauladhars, with Mun peak appearing at an arms length. The views from here are simply marvellous, with a progression of snow clogged high peaks like Matterhorn (4478m), standing tall. Spending a night here is recommended, as the stars fill up the sky, with a prominent trail of the Milkyway connecting both the horizons.
Trekking in the lower Dhauladhars is now days getting famous among the many reputed outdoor companies. Namoh, organizes such trek throughout the year. With a minimum of two highly experienced guides and a small group size, Namoh offers India’s safest, most fun trek to the lower Dhauladhars. The trek is 2 days long and trek grade is easy to moderate. Any first timers can opt for this trek as most of the terrain is simple and gives a spectacular experience of the Himalayas.
The Trekking in Triund starts from Dharamsala/McLeodganj which over the years has become a well-known hill vacation destination. This bustling Tibetan Buddhist town is home to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and his Tibetan government in exile.
During the end-May to mid-June period there is going to be snow on the trail and we will plan our hike keeping the conditions in mind.
